 In  July 2008, Marcus Knudsen decided to release the results of a project that set out to create a sound based on the golden ratio, using very precise frequencies discovered after an idea that came when researching these subjects.

Volunteers testing the experimental sounds started reporting amazing effects, pushing Marcus to make it available. The testers started offering to pay for longer versions of the test sound. Marcus agreed and finalized the sounds to full products and published xphirience.com.
